Hi-NRG darkrave is heavily influenced by Hi-NRG, Witch house, and darkwave. It is driven by distorted, obscured, and excessively reverberated vocals inspired from Shoegaze with more focus and emphasis on the instrumental design than lyrical flow, prioritizing the music over vocals, making the genre an element of rave music. I pioneered and invented it.
